My Brain is Full and I Still Have Core Muscles!

Monday, August 5, 2013
I'm trying out a new blogging tool on my please excuse any funky format issues in this post. I'm still learning my way around.

I'm alive! I didn't fall off the face of the earth!

Although, I do feel like my brain is going to explode because it is so full of information...and because I'm 34.5 weeks pregnant with a human that is sucking the life out of me.

I'm wrapping up my NASM Personal Training Course this week. I understand why NASM's program get's such good reviews...because it's a freaking storm of information. Having a passion for fitness isn't the only prerequisite to be a personal trainer. There is a lot of education required in order to be qualified to train people...and I'm up to my nose in it!

I've already learned an intense amount, and through preparing for this test, I'll continue to gain a ton more information. I'm definitely excited, but just for the record...this is a tough course!

Other than spending all of my free time studying...yea, that's all I've been doing.
I started a new strength routine today and it kicked my pregnant butt! My quads are tight tight tight! And my core muscles, which I thought the baby had destoryed about 16 weeks ago, are still present and are now beat to death. Granted, I'm sure they fatigue a lot faster than usual, these days. But I haven't had a sore core in so actually feels good.

As far as cardio, I spent 45 minutes on my friend, the elliptical. I've been doing various interval workouts during my days on the elliptical. I feel like I get the best workout with intervals.

A great day of workouts overall. The only downside is my workouts tend to suck the last bit of life out of me these days. Now I'll spend the rest of the evening as a zombie, staggering around exhausted, muttering about muscles and nutrition.

Now that were all caught are some pictures from the past week!

I walked into the living room and this was going on.

Harper hamming it up!

33 Weeks huge...I mean pregnant.

My favorite pregnancy perk...midday naps with puppies.

Turkey burger, home made salsa, on top of a portabella cap...with kale!

My latest craving...Pumpkin puree, Sunflower seed butter, Banana, Cashews!

Happy Monday Everyone!

  1. YOU look fantastic! I hope these next 6 weeks fly by for you! Also, I love Harper's alligator smile. My dog does the same thing with his jowls and he looks cute and freaky at the same time.

  2. Those are some cute dogs....they also look like trouble! LOL
Very cute preggo pics too. :-)
